Braking effect should be increased as original purpose of a brake, and low amount of dust and cost-effectiveness should be also improved. The friction material for more break performance and more friction resistance (durability) than genuine ones was used.
Based on a hundred times of marketing research, the friction material was made for meeting market needs as much as possible.
Although the SS-27 was originally developed for the reinforced pad without dirty on wheels and squeaking, these tendencies could be stronger by developing to “Step2”. So please regard the SR-27 Step2 as the reinforced pad for general users.

1. The feel of the pedal can be very easy to control (Its braking effect is excellent even if it is cold.).
2. No squeaking, low amount of dust and small amount of attacking rotor.
3. Strong stability available from low to high temperature, and performance of reducing brake fade.
4. High performance can be used sufficiently for “small circuit” to “mountain pass”.
5. Reducing the early stages of sudden braking, and controlling actual balance with pedal stroke.

The usual high-temperature typed reinforcement pad tends to be bad effect of braking at low temperature, and have secondary abuse like squeaking, attacking rotor, dust and so on. In case of high-temperature type, this tendency is increased.

Since the friction surface becomes soft by Scorch, squeaking at early stage is decreased and the initial fade can be prevented.

The difference between the current model of SS-27 and the new one of SR-27 Step2 is as follows. The SS-27 is a reinforced pad mainly for daily driving on public road. Please regard the SR-27 Step2 as more aggressive driving from mini-circuits to peaks.
Developing both pads were based on being easy to use with small amount of dust, no squeaking and reducing rotor attack.
