Maruha’s original hood offers shades of colors you cannot find in between genuine hoods, good quality of material, side rain rail (SRR) used in the case of NC and a unique design.
Our hoods are being produced especially for Miata/MX-5 at a factory that also produces genuine hoods.
The vinyl material comes in 6 different colors. In the case of black there are two types: STD black (G1) and Upgrade black (G2). The other colors are all upgrade (G2) colors.
The durability of these two types doesn’t differ much, however in the case of G1 material the main point is cost saving.
The acrylic windows are all set up with zipper.
The rooftop is seamless on both sides.
The global design is very neat.
The top is set up with side rain rail (SRR) used in the case of NC.
The high quality fabric comes in 7 different colors.
In the case of Mazda there is no setup using fabric for NA. It is Maruha’s unique idea.

The glass window setting for NA differs from the genuine one – it is a high quality product.
To secure durability and safety we don’t set up a zipper to the glass windows.
The glass windows are all set up with heating coil.
In the case of NA models the rear defogger for the hardtop was optional, that’s why using this system it is possible to use the glass hood’s rear defogger too.
In that case a panel switch, relay and connecting harness are necessary.
The backside of the fabric is an important element too.
For example, the back is generally black. However, there is a possibility of beige too.
The whole backside of the material is high quality herringbone pattern.
In the three-layer structure the middle layer has a rubber which doesn’t allow the rain to pass through.
We use high quality fabric, that is being used by such companies as BMW, Mercedes, VW etc.
On the top of the hood we use side rain rail.
This rail is being used in the case of NC genuine hood too.
The side rain rail (SRR) has the function of letting the rain flow to the back side when opening the window even only for airing. It is a very convenient function.
The hood frame, just like all other Maruha’s originals, is carefully produced.
After this the hood’s design becomes very beautiful.
It plays an important role in preventing rusting.
Distinctly from Mazda’s genuine one, we prepared the side wire as a separate item.
In the case of using our original hood, the side wire of your car’s actual hood can be reused.
However, wire abrasion and spring squeaking might occur, that’s why there might be cases, when it has to be replaced, however in the case of Mazda’s genuine one there is no separate side wire.
We carry out the genuine spring’s weight measurement and to reach good stretching we use stainless material.
Even in the case of the wire we carry out weight tests, check the wire’s core strength and the stoppers strength and produce it by combining stainless material and billet aluminum block.
As the construction doesn’t use steel, but only stainless material and aluminum block, the antirust effect is very good.
